Jay Leno Goes PRIMETIME

NBC just laid off 500 employess due to a slow economy, however they are keeping Conan O’Brien and Jay Leno.  Here’s the deal:

Conan will still get the “Tonight Show” gig.  Jay’s last episode airs on Friday, May 29th . . . and on the following Monday, June 1st, Conan will be taking over the show.

 But Jay will get a new, PRIMETIME show, which will air nightly at 10:00 P.M.  Naturally, there aren’t a lot of details on Jay’s new show yet . . . but it sounds like it’ll be similar to “The Tonight Show”.

Some are saying that this is just NBC’s way of keeping Leno because apparently, ABC, CBS, and FOX were all bidding on taking Leno over to their networks……must be nice having all major networks fighting for you!!!
