Y’all know the whole story on PLAXICO’s idiot incident last Friday with the unregistered gun and shooting himself in the thigh.  Well, here’s the update:

The New York Giants have decided that they have what it takes to finish out the season WITHOUT PLAXICO .  Yesterday, the moron showed up at the Giants’ facilities to learn that he’s been benched AND fined. And now it looks like he is facing another penalty: 3-15 years behind bars for “illegal possession of a loaded handgun” which is a New York statute signed into law in November 2006 by then-Governor George Pataki.  Here are more interesting tidbits about the case:

*The “New York Times” reports that Giants running back AHMAD BRADSHAW was in the Latin Quarter nightclub with Plaxico and linebacker ANTONIO PIERCE when Plaxico shot himself in the thigh

*Early reports placed fellow running back DERRICK WARD at the scene.  It’s not clear whether Ward actually was there.  He says he wasn’t  

*The NYPD still wants to talk to Pierce . . . who was at a paid radio appearance when he was supposed to be submitting to a police interview on Monday, and apparently didn’t meet with them yesterday either

*PIERCE’s SUV was impounded by the NYPD to look for blood and gunpowder residue

* According to TMZ : The doctor that treated PLAXICO is Dr. Josyann Abisaab, who doesn’t work directly for New York-Cornell Hospital but is affiliated with it. She was reportedly summoned from home in the middle of the night to treat him.  HMMMMM…sounds like Johnny C was right about the suspicious hospital visit..

*The official NFL shop will NOT allow you to purchase a custom New York Giants jersey with PLAXICO’s #17 and the name HARRIS SMITH on it.  Harris Smith is the fake name PLAXICO used when he checked into the hospital for his gunshot wound

*You may recall that a few years ago, the NFL also banned RON MEXICO from the back of jerseys . . . after it was revealed that MICHAEL VICK used that name when he went to medical clinics to get medicine to treat his GENITAL HERPES 

In the NHL, players are encouraged to break each other’s faces, but calling an ex a “sloppy second” can lead to suspension!
Yesterday, the Dallas Stars were in Calgary to play the Flames. That morning, the media caught up with the most hated NHL player, Sean Avery, and he had this to say . . . “I’m really happy to be back in Calgary; I love Canada….” Watch the video to get the rest of the “sloppy seconds” comment.
Here’s the scoop : Avery used to date actress ELISHA CUTHBERT the HOTTY from “24″. But she’s now with Calgary defender DION PHANEUF. Before that, she was linked to MIKE KOMISAREK of the Montreal Canadiens. Avery ALSO dated model RACHEL HUNTER a while back . . . and she’s now with JARRET STOLL of the Los Angeles Kings. WOW!
Within hours of Avery’s comments, word came down that NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman had SUSPENDED him indefinitely for, quote, “inappropriate public comments, not pertaining to the game.”
OK dude, you either need to stop dating the ho’s or start learning how to hold on to one!
